Conditor Alme Siderum

Inspired by cult 1970s film “The Wicker Man” and its juxtaposition of Christianity and Paganism, this track is an arrangement of the first verse of the seventh-century Latin chant “Conditor Alme Siderum” (Creator of the Stars), traditionally sung during the Christian season of Advent.

I recorded the choir at a church in South Wales.

The album artwork is from a photograph I took on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne while on holiday with my partner in the North East of England.

Instrumentation: Kawai K5000S, Roland JV-1080, Roland MX-1, Roland TB-3, Roland TR-8, Yamaha TX81Z.
