My composition process typically involves an improvisation stage, where I find a synthesizer sound or two that inspire me, and then record a “jam” where I play these sound(s) on the keyboard, organically creating themes and ideas.

I then develop the ideas from the improvisation, adding further parts, and then produce and master the final mix.

With the flute, I improvise live, adding further embellishments on the spur of the moment.

Occasionally, I’ll record a cover version of something that really resonates with me, like I did with “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie”.
